The UOPD evaluation system is designed to foster authentic communication between the supervisor and the employee centered on established job duties and anticipated or expected results, while maintaining accountability. The employee will be able to demonstrate his/her skills as indicated on the UOPD Annual Evaluation Instrument.
In this system:
- UOPD Performance Evaluation is linked to the District Strategic Plan.
- An opportunity is provided for individualized evaluation in a department or division specific situation.
- Strategies to meet expected job duties and factors are adjusted based on continuous monitoring and communication relative to analysis of situations.
- Ratings (outstanding, very good, satisfactory, D.N.M.M.E, unsatisfactory, and unable to evaluate) exist to measure job performance.
