     Welcome to Seabreeze!

     All Aboard, Seahorses!

This is your Captain speaking, welcoming you to our charming ship, Seabreeze Elementary. Please join us as we prepare for a successful launch of school. Our official theme is “Cruisin’ at the Breeze: Set Sail on a Learning Adventure!” We look forward to greeting you on Tuesday, August 10th—our official disembarkation date! You will notice our staff will have cruise attire and festive leis to identify ourselves. We will be there to assist your child as they enter our halls. Please note, under current Covid-19 restrictions, you will not be able to walk your child into school. However, we assure you that all students will get to their correct cabins (classrooms).

Here are a few things we will need from you as we prepare for this year’s journey:

    • If you have not done so already, please make sure you have a FOCUS account.
    • Please make sure you have picked up all necessary items from our supply lists.
    • Join us on Facebook for updates from both Seabreeze Elementary and Seabreeze Elementary PTA (our official FB pages.)
    • Though lunch is free through at least December, you may want to load snack money at www.myschoolbucks.com
Pay for school meals and fees securely online! With MySchoolBucks, parents can also view cafeteria purchases, access meal balances, register for activities, purchase event tickets, browse school items, and more.

      .
    • All children need to know how they are getting home on Day 1.

For smooth sailing this year, we ask that you keep your child home if they are exhibiting any Covid-19 related symptoms. There will be Telehealth opportunities through the school system, more details will be coming home on this at a later date. We will continue distancing and sanitation protocols from last year, and I will be sure to communicate with our families if a positive case has been reported at school. With the most recent update, masks are mandated for students with an opt-out clause. We are sending a paper form home in the First Day packet, and there will be an online selection process for you to make via FOCUS.

If there is one thing our “Gem of the Beaches” is known for, it’s our strong commitment to community and to one another. I ask that we respectfully support one another’s decisions and do our collective best to protect our Seahorses.

    Thank you,

    Aimee Kimball
