Duval County Public Schools declared February to be #YouMatterMonth, an effort to ensure that all students and employees are aware they have access to resources to help them through times of stress or other emotional challenges. All of Team Duval is encouraged to learn and develop habits that support strong emotional health.
The #YouMatterMonth Tip of the Week: REST!
Practice a daily ritual such as sipping a cup of tea or coffee in peace and quiet for 15 minutes, going on a regular 30 minute walk alone or with a friend, practicing meditation for five minutes, or taking a hot bath. Pick one ritual that you make your own. If daily is too much to fit in, pick one evening or one weekend morning a week for self-care, mark it off on the calendar, and make it happen. You have to show up for yourself.
