Welcome to Jacksonville Beach Elementary

At Jacksonville Beach Elementary School (JBE), we are committed to meeting the needs of all students by providing an enriching and challenging education, teaching children to seek, explore, discover, and develop their minds to the fullest potential, and teaching them the skills needed to be responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

JBE was awarded the National Blue-Ribbon School Award in 2015 and 2021 by the USDOE (1 of only 7 schools in FL), is an MSA Nationally Certified Magnet School - Demonstration Level (only school in DCPS and 1 of 19 schools in FL) and has earned Florida’s A+ School Recognition Award for 21 consecutive years. JBE is ranked #1 among all Duval County Public Elementary Schools, #1 among all elementary schools in the State of Florida according to the 2021 U.S. News and World Report and ranked fourth or above in ALL subject areas when compared to other similar schools in the state. JBE has shown growth in school grade points each year since 2019, totaling an increase of 26! JBE was also an MTSS Recognized School for 2021-22.

The extended learning opportunities provided at Jacksonville Beach ensure a solid foundation and an outstanding rate of success in advanced placement classes in middle and high school.

2019 Merit School of Excellence

Jacksonville Beach Elementary was recognized as a 2019 Merit School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America in April 2019. These awards are only given to a select group of magnet schools that have demonstrated the highest level of excellence in all facets of the merit award application. Our school was the only magnet school in DCPS and one of 45 schools in the state of Florida to receive this designation.

2020-2021 School & Extended Day Registration Information!

If you have a Kindergarten student or a student new to Duval County Public Schools, we ask that you email all required registration documents to Ms. Ariel Goode at goodea@duvalschools.org as soon as possible to complete the registration process. Please click on the following link to view all of the required documentation that you will need to bring: https://dcps.duvalschools.org/Page/9843. All of this information MUST be received by the first day of school!

JBE will be holding Extended Day Pre-Registration on select dates throughout the summer months. Please visit our JBE Calendar to see the days/times for these sessions.

2015 National Blue Ribbon School Award Recognition

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Every year the U. S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates great American schools, schools demonstrating that all students can achieve to high levels. Secretary Duncan of the USDOE officially announced on 9/29/15 that Jacksonville Beach Elementary School is a recipient of one of the coveted 2015 National Blue Ribbon Awards. JBE is 1 out of 335 schools nationwide to receive this honor, which is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of the entire school community of teachers, students, and parents!
