• School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Committees

Committees are made up of members of the SHAC, who have an interest in the subject area of the committee. The SHAC can create any committees necessary to carry out its work. Currently, there are three active committees within the SHAC, and these include Health Education, Health Services and Wellness Committees.

The Health Education Committee reviews programs, organizations and speakers on a variety of health issues. For more information about this committee, please visit the Health Education Committee website page.

The Health Services Committee addresses topics related to school health services and provides recommendations to the larger SHAC for approval and appropriate action. The Health Services Committee meets monthly immediately following the SHAC meeting.

The Behavioral Health Committee advocates for social emotional wellbeing and provides mental wellness related recommendations to the larger SHAC for approval and appropriate action.  The Behavioral Health Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
