• What is the strategic plan?

    A strategic plan is an organization’s process of defining its direction and making decisions on resource allocation in the pursuit of a strategy.

    There are four key components of strategic planning:

    1. Vision Statement: Outlines what the organization wants to be.
    2. Mission Statement: Defines the fundamental purpose of an organization.
    3. Values: Beliefs that are shared among the stakeholders of an organization.
    4. Goals and Strategies: Narrowly defined road map of the organization's end vision. 

     
    How does the district manage accountability? 

    The Duval County School Board along with the Superintendent and employees develop measurable outcomes based upon the projects and initiatives.


     

     
    How does the district solicit feedback from the community?

    The district provides a series of surveys throughout the year such as the Gallup Student Poll, TNTP Insight survey, Employee Engagement, Parent Survey, etc.  Most surveys are web based and anonymous.


     

     
    How can I provide feedback?

    The district and schools will send out notifications to appropriate stakeholders when a survey becomes available.
