• Student Dress Code – For ALL Students

    The Dress Code for the Alternative Education Centers is MANDATORY.

    No make-up of any kind shall be worn including eye make-up, lip gloss, mascara, foundation, powder, etc., while you are enrolled in an Alternative Education Center.

    Shirt:  Polo Style: Elem. – Navy Blue,   6th Grade – Black,   7th Grade – Red,   8th Grade – Grey  

                Must be long enough to stay tucked into pants.

                Tee shirts worn under shirt must be all white with no writing

                No labels or logos of any kind – no writing or designs on shirt

    Pants: Khaki (tan) pants only.  (i.e. - Dickie style pants, loose-boot cut style)

    Must be full length slacks – no shorts, stretch pants, jeans, cargo pants, skinny jeans, low riders, leggings, painter pants, capris,   skorts, yoga pants or skirts (no pants with extra pockets).

    Pants may not be rolled up, rolled at bottom, or tucked into shoes and socks. 

    Must be worn up around waist, no baggy or oversized clothing or excessively tight clothing

    Must have belt and belt loops

    No labels, patches, holes, rips, frays, tears or bleach spots

    Belts:   Must be worn at all times and must not dangle in front or to the side. 

                Scarves may not be worn as a belt.

                Dress style belts only with NO large belt buckles.

    Shoes: Tennis shoes

                Socks or hose must be worn at all times

                No high tops, boots or steel toed shoes (may not go above ankle)

                Must be laced, tied and/or buckled, strapped, or zipped (traditional manner of tying)

                May not be open toed, open heeled

    Hair:    Must be neatly trimmed and combed

                Style or color must not create a distraction to the educational environment

                No unusual or large hair adornments (including no head-bands, clips, pony-tail holders or bands with any adornments attached, over-sized barrettes or beads)

                No unusual designs cut into hair, no excessively high up-do


    Male Students: Hair must be neatly combed and must not touch top of collar. Must braid long hair down - (must be pulled up /back out of face). No beards, goatee, chin hair, or sideburns below the top of ear. Must be clean-shaven, though a neatly trimmed mustache will be allowed.

    Jackets:  Must be unbuttoned or zipped all the way down the front and remain open throughout day. No hoods on jackets, no long-trench type coats will be allowed, no hoodies

    Hats: No hats, or caps of any kind may be worn or brought to school

    Forbidden and Prohibited Items:

    This is a general list of items that are not to be brought to school.  No items are to be brought and left on the

    bus.  This is a partial list.  NO ITEMS, other than required supplies are allowed as they create a distraction to

    the educational process.



    No more than $10. in cash

    No wallets, handbag, purse, book bags or backpacks

    No gold or silver teeth

    No jewelry except for wrist watch

    NO cell phones

    No camouflage clothing including jackets

    No extra clothing worn under uniform

    No medicine without proper authorization

    No finger nails that extend beyond end of finger tip

    No chap stick or eye drops

    No hats, bandannas, or do rags

    No combs, brushes, or picks

    No calculators

    No books

    No pictures / photographs

    No magazines

    Any personal electronic  devices including but not limited to IPods, Mp3, IPads,  Smart phones, etc.

    No toys of any kind

    No food – candy, gum, drinks, snack items, mints, etc. – Lunch may be brought and left in front office

    No tongue , nose, brow, lip, or chin rings

    No Pullover Hoodie Sweat Tops
