• The results for the 2024 Northeast Florida Scholastic Art Awards and the National Scholastic Art& Writing Awards have been emailed out to all educators on file.

Students should check with their educator for a list of winning works from their school.

The Northeast Florida Scholastic Art Awards is a regional visual art affiliate of the national program: Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

As an affiliate, we collect original works from students (age 13-18, grades 7-12), in our region including Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. John's, Union, and Volusia Counties, arrange adjudication with professional artists and art educators, and then honor regional award winners with exhibitions and college scholarship offers. Top regional award winners go on to national adjudication where students can earn national awards, cash scholarships, and recognition at Carnagie Hall in NYC!

This year's regional awards ceremony and exhibition opening took place on Saturday, February 17th in downtown Jacksonville.

For 100 years, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have recognized the exceptional vision of our nation’s youth. Established in 1923 by Scholastic Inc. founder Maurice R. Robinson, the Scholastic Awards have grown to become the nation’s highest honor and largest source of scholarships for creative teens. Through a nationwide partner network of more than 100 Affiliates, the 2024 Awards received over 300,000 submissions spanning 26 categories of art and writing. Students are encouraged by their educators, both in schools and through out-of-school programs, to submit their original work.
All students in grades 7 through 12, whether in public, private, or home schools, can apply.

Notable Scholastic Awards alumni include Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Cy Twombly, John Baldessari, Ken Burns, Zac Posen, Kay WalkingStick, Lena Dunham, Richard Avedon, Stephen King, Luis Jiménez, and Truman Capote—to name just a few.
