It's Not Just a Club, It's a Way of Life
The mission of the after-school club Young Farmers is to develop an appreciation for agriculture and build agriculture skills. Students acquire skills that can lead them to have a future in farming or agriculture. Students care for seven chickens and two goats on the school property as well as manage the garden. The community and school are support by the vegetable and flowers grown in the garden are donated to the community. Students are also encouraged to start gardening at home. This club provides the basic skills needed for students to learn about a future career in farming or agriculture.
