Acceleration Program:
Pre-Early College
The Pre-Early College program is a Middle School Acceleration track that affords academically advanced students the opportunity to earn up to four high school credits and three college credits. This program provides mature and highly motivated middle school students with reading enrichment designed to promote success in advanced level courses , Post-Secondary Readiness and success on Florida's Post- Secondary Readiness Assessment(PERT). Participation in Pre-Early College may lead to High School Acceleration options such as Cambridge, AICE, AP Capstone, Early College, and the International Baccalaureate Programme.
High School Program Continuity Options:
Program Continuity for magnet students to Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts, Robert E. Lee HS, Paxon School for Advanced Studies, and Stanton College Preparatory School. Program Continuity to these four high schools requires student to have successfully completed Algebra 1 by the end of the 8th grade. Program Continuity is also available to Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology, Jean Ribault HS, Samuel Wolfson and Edward H. White HS.
