Mayor's Youth at Work Program

  • The City of Jacksonville is excited to announce that the Mayor’s Summer Jobs program has been expanded into the Mayor's Youth at Work Partnership! The city has partnered with business, education, nonprofit and philanthropic entities to develop an integrated youth employment career pathway system.
    This years' program focuses on building the talent pipeline for our local economy by connecting young adults with education and employment career pathways. These pathways will prepare the City's youth to meet the skill demands of employers and lead them to workforce success.
    The program will occur June 10, 2019 - July 19, 2019, and includes career assessment, employment readiness training, a preceding Youth College and Career Fair and  20-hour work weeks. With the program's expansion, there will be a wide variety of employment opportunities.  
    Eligibility Requirements: 
    • Youth Ages 16-21 
    • One Letter of Recommendation (from a non-family member) 
    • 2.0 cumulative high school GPA for current students or high school diploma 
    • Successfully Complete Screening Process
