All sports have a risk of injury; the more contact in a sport, the greater the risk of injury.
To reduce this risk of injury, follow these Injury Prevention Techniques
- Increase flexibility with everyday routine of dynamic warmup before practice and static stretching after
- Proper technique
- Proper jumping mechanic
- Rest. Take time off- Athletes should have 1 month a year off to rest
- Limit Exposure
- Wear proper protective equipment
- Strengthen Muscles to enhance performance
- Stay Hydrated!
- Follow rules of the game
