Atheltic Trainer Bio: My name is Shea Skorusa and I am the head athletic trainer here at Riverside High School. I am a Jacksonville native, graduating from Sandalwood High School in 2010. From there I received my bachelor's in athletic training from Wingate University in Wingate, NC. After graduating in 2014 I moved to Sumter, SC where I was the assistant athletic trainer and sports medicine teacher at Sumter High School until 2020. During my time in Sumter, I also received my masters in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine, graduating in 2017. Upon returning to Jacksonville, I worked in the clinical setting at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute. In 2022, I decided to return to the setting where I enjoyed my career the most, high school. I am so grateful to be a part of the Riverside family and help our athletics and sports medicine programs grow.
