    Orientation sessions for the 2019-2020 have been scheduled as follows.
    Seniors - Tuesday, July 30
    Juniors - Wednesday, July 31
    Sophomores - Thursday, August 1
    Freshmen - Tuesday, August 6
    All orientation sessions begin at 9:00 am.   Select the appropriate date above for more information.

  • Back-To-School Tax Holiday 2019

    During the #BacktoSchool2019 Sales Tax Holiday Aug. 2 through Aug. 6, qualifying items will be exempt from tax including: certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item as well as clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item; and computers and certain accessories selling for $1,000 or less per item, when purchased for noncommercial or personal use.   • Final Grades are now available for FSA/EOC Courses

    The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) requires students enrolled in Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, US History, and Civics to take an End-of-Course (EOC) exam which constitutes 30% of a student’s final grade. The FSA and EOC scores are now in. Parents/Guardians/Students can now access updated report cards through FOCUS.  Please CLICK HERE to learn more about final grade calculations for our courses with State End-Of-Course exams.

    Douglas Anderson School of the Arts is a Duval County Public School for students grades 9 through 12 with a desire for intensive study in the arts.

    Established as an arts school in 1985, the school attracts students from all parts of North Florida and South Georgia who have talent in dance, instrumental or vocal music, performance or technical theatre, film and video production, creative writing, and visual arts.

    A high academic standard, coupled with a broad arts curriculum, offers students an opportunity to excel in a chosen discipline while preparing them for post-secondary education.
