The Florida Department of Education's Outstanding School Volunteer Awards are presented annually to school volunteers who have shown outstanding dedication and commitment to quality education in Florida.
Award winners are selected based on their character of service, type of volunteer contribution, number of years volunteering, and breadth of service.
Each school has an opportunity to submit one youth, adult, AND senior outstanding volunteer for consideration. A district winner will be selected from each of the three categories to be submitted to the state. Those three winners will then compete against winners from across the region.
