• January Teacher of the Month

    Mrs. Williams Second Grade Math

    What inspired you to teach?

My biggest inspiration to becoming a teacher was the way my mother educated and cared for her students. I admire how my mother was a firm teacher but to her students she was sweet as pie because they knew her firmness was all in love. She instilled in her students a sense of greatness.. I wanted to be just like her ensuring that any kid I touched learned by any means necessary and felt a mother's love.

    Why do you love teaching?

One of the things I love about teaching is when my students have an "ahah" moment. To know that I have taught something new or clarified something for my students and they "get it" is the most rewarding feeling ever. I take great pride in knowing that one day the kids that I have taught will one day be doctors, chefs, teachers, bankers, etc...

What would you do if you were not a teacher?

There is no other occupation I would rather be doing than teaching!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends.
