  • Chartwells Scholarship

    Chartwells K12 School Dining Services is the dedicated foodservice management team that has been working hand-in-hand with the Duval County Public Schools Food Service Program to manage all aspects of school dining across the district.

    We want to give back to the students we serve every day by offering a one-time $2,000 scholarship to 18 Duval County Public School seniors who plan to continue on to post-secondary education, including colleges, universities, technical or trade schools.

    Eligibility:
    The scholarship is open to high school seniors who will graduate from a Duval County public high school in spring 2021. There will be 18 winners district-wide who will receive a one-time $2,000 scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education.

    Requirements:

    • Acceptance letter/proof of enrollment into a college, university, technical or trade school
    • Submit a copy of official high school transcript
    • Submit completed application
    • Submit one of two essays (1,000 words or less)

    Thompson Hospitality Scholarship

    Thompson Hospitality is the largest minority-owned foodservice company in North America and has partnered with Chartwells K12 to help provide food service management for Duval County Public Schools since 2009.

    To give back to the students we serve, Thompson Hospitality is offering a one-year meal plan scholarship to three Duval County Public School seniors who plan to continue their education at a historically black college and university with food service provided by Thompson Hospitality.

    The current list of qualifying schools are as follows:

  • Eligibility:
    The scholarship is open to high school seniors who will graduate from a Duval County public high school in spring 2021. Three winners will receive a one-year meal plan scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education at a historically black college and university.

    Requirements:

    • Acceptance letter/proof of enrollment into a historically black college and university
      • Only the schools listed above will be accepted
    • Submit a copy of official high school transcript
      • 2.5 GPA or above
    • Submit completed application
    • Submit essay response (1,000 words or less)

    Submission deadline: April 9, 2021
