There are two essential scholarship/grant applications for Florida students: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the Florida Financial Aid Application. Both of these applications open on October 1 of the student's graduating year. If you intend to start college during the summer term, you should complete the FAFSA for the 2022-2023 school year as well as the 2023-2024. The Florida Financial Aid Application evaluates students for 13 state scholarships, including the Bright Futures Scholarship.
