      HANDWRITING

    ‚          Write all words neatly using manuscript letters

      STRUCTURE OF WORDS

    PRE-REQUISITES - MATHEMATICS

    Mathematics learning is a sequential process.  Instruction at each grade level builds on the foundation established in previous grades.  Students are expected to apply learned skills in problem solving.  It is essential for them to understand concepts and skills to continue to be successful at subsequent grades.

       

     ADDITION, SUBTRACTION FACTS & PLACE VALUE    

    ‚          Recall basic addition, subtraction facts quickly

    ‚             Identify place value through 9,999

    ‚             Read, write, order and compare numbers through 9,999

    ‚             Round numbers through hundreds

    ‚             Read and write word names for numerals

    ‚             Add or subtract numbers with 4 or fewer digits

    ‚             Choose the operations to solve problems

     

       TIME, MONEY, GRAPHS, AND MEASUREMENT                                

    ‚          Tell clock and calendar time
