School Showcase Saturday

Every school will be open for parents to see programs offered at schools throughout the district. This will be a time when you can visit area schools to see the many wonderful options available in our local schools.

School Tours

School visits will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesdays. See specific dates below.

• Parents must sign-up in advance for the visit…either in person in the front office or by calling Ashley Higginbotham at (904) 538-0238, Press 2 (for front office)
• A maximum of 5 families will be allowed at any one time.
• Children (other than the prospective student) will not be allowed.
• Visits will last approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour.
• Parents will be given an informational handout and are also encouraged to access the Twin Lakes website at dcps.duvalschools.org/tlae for additional information regarding standards and other pertinent information.
• Visits will consist of a tour of the school, including the Media Center, Art Lab, Music Lab, Cafeteria, and playground.
• Parents may be allowed to go into a classroom for a brief time, (less than 5 minutes) to view how a typical classroom is set up.
• Parents will not be allowed to sit in a classroom and “observe” as this could be disruptive to the learning environment.
