The Office of Equity and Inclusion/Professional Standards (OEI/PS) reviews requests for reasonable accommodation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. To request accommodation based on religion, the qualified applicant or employee should complete and return our Request for Religious Accommodation form. Our office will follow up with the employee if additional documentation is needed.

Request for Religious Accommodation form

After the documents are reviewed, a meeting will be held with the employee, their supervisor, and OEI/PS. The requested accommodation will be discussed to determine whether the accommodation is reasonable, and any alternatives that may be needed.

Reasonable accommodation is provided for the current school year, unless an administrative change necessitates an adjustment to the accommodation. OEI/PS will contact the employee at the beginning of each school year to assess whether the current accommodation is still effective or changes need to be made.
