Duval County Public SchoolsDouglas Anderson School of the Arts (DA) is looking for a highly qualified and ambitious individual to serve as Cinematic Arts instructor. The DA cinematic arts department is a CTE Academy for Digital Cinema and students are given opportunities for industry certifications in the Adobe Creative Suite. Students are provided unique opportunities for growth to 9th-12th grade students in narrative, documentary, and photography films. The curriculum offered to students includes pre-production, production, and post-production classes.
The Cinematic Arts instructor is responsible for teaching practical and survey courses, executively producing a multitude of student films, engaging in community service film opportunities, facilitating meetings with CTE advisory councils and participate in departmental activities.
Candidates will need to obtain or possess a Florida Teaching Certification in Technology Education, Adobe Certifications in Photoshop. Premiere Pro, and After Effects. In addition to at least 3 years in practical film and industry experience. Soley acting roles and experience is not preferred for this position.

Douglas Anderson School of the Arts is a tuition-free Duval County Public High School. Admittance to the school is through audition only. Students must maintain high artistic and academic standards throughout their time at DA.
