• Atlantic Coast High School is proud to currently have four CTE Career Academies and is in the process of adding a fifth one for the 2024-2025 school year.  

     

    Computer Technology Academy - currently rated as a Master Academy
    The mission of the Computer Technology Academy is to provide high quality computer technology classes that allow ALL students to experience learning success and achieve academic, professional, and personal goals by providing equitable access and experiences that build skills in computer literacy, problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
    The Computer Technology Academy allows for two different computer tracks: 


    1. Computer Science - all four courses are honors or AP Courses. 
    2. Game Design & Programming 

    Digital Video Technology Academy - currently rated as a Master Academy
    The Academy of Digital Video Technology at Atlantic Coast High School allows students to explore the field of video production. Through hands-on experiences, interacting with guest speakers, and attending unique field trips, students will gain real-world skills to help prepare for college and/or the career they choose. 


    Engineering Academy - currently rated as a Master Academy
    The mission of the Engineering Academy is to provide students with broad exposure to various engineering fields and prepare them with the knowledge and skills necessary to competitively pursue engineering as a career. 

    CNA Medical Academy -  currently rated as an Advanced Academy
    The mission of the Atlantic Coast High School CNA Medical Academy is to prepare students who have an interest in the health sciences to successfully pursue higher learning and a profession in an ever-changing world. The ACHS Medical Academy focuses on student-centered learning and experiences that motivate all students, providing a rigorous and technologically enhanced curriculum while inspiring creative, critical, and analytical thinking. This academy works in conjunction with Mayo Hospital and some courses will be taught by Mayo medical personnel.

    Professional Education Academy - starting during the 2024-2025 school year
    The mission of the Atlantic Coast High School Professional Education Academy is to provide students with the skills and experience needed to pursue a career in the field of education. Atlantic Coast High School is proud to partner with the University of North Florida College of Education.
