I hope you are having a nice weekend! On Tuesday, we will begin our third Progress Monitoring Assessment (PMA3), and we will maintain a testing environment similar to the FSA routine. There will be quiet hours in the building, and it is critical that students in grades 3-5 are present every day and on time. I have attached the PMA3 schedule to the e-mail version of this message. The schedule includes Brick and Mortar and Duval HomeRoom testing sessions. All students are expected to come to the building to take the PMA3 on their assigned dates and times. The assessment is not optional and will not be offered online. We will administer PMA3 from February 23rd-March 2nd.
Our Midyear Stakeholders SAC Meeting will be held in person tomorrow, February 22nd, at 4:30 in the Art Lab. This is where we share the school's midyear data. The School Advisory Council is funding a reward for students in Grades 3-5 who move from "red" to "yellow" compared to PMA2 or score at least 55% on the PMA3 in reading, math, or fifth grade science.
The school district needs to hear feedback from our parents regarding your experiences at Thomas Jefferson. Thank you for helping us already reach the required 20% of our 5 Essentials parent surveys. The survey is open until February 26th, and the link to take the survey is provided on the e-mail version of this message. Some teachers have also sent parents the link on Class Dojo.
Fifth grade parents, this is a reminder for you to view the flyer regarding purchasing yearbook ads for fifth grade students. The flyer provides a link for you to design your own ad. The absolute deadline is March 5th. I have attached the flyer to this message.
Have a great week!
