We are Wild About Learning

    2020-2021 School Theme

    July 22, 2020

    Greetings Eagle Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!  We are looking forward to safely welcoming back our Eagles this fall.  While we know many that we are collectively uncertain of what lies ahead, please rest assured we will do our best to welcome our scholars to a safe and healthy environment, taking every precaution to ensure the well being of our students, faculty and staff.  I know that many of our families have had to face a number of obstacles due to this pandemic, but I look forward to working with each of you to ensure that our scholars are able to return to school so in a manner that will allow them to acclimate to this "new normal" that we have been challenged with.

This school year, our goal is to show continuous improvement and to continue to develop an environment filled with young scholars, hungry to excel and achieve.  We will work diligenty to ensure that our students are equipped to continue developing both socially and academically.  Our focus will be to close any learning gaps created by distance learning this past spring, or the lack thereof due to extenuating circumstances.  We will also equip our teachers with the tools needed to ensure that our students social-emotional well-being are in tact.

The 2018-19 school year brought about overall positive changes and greater results.  Third thru fifth grade students showed improvements in all state tested areas from the Florida Standard Assessment (FSA) which resulted in our school grade maintaining a C.  As we celebrate our growth, we have set new goals and are putting in a plan in motion to ensure that we trek to higher heights.

Our school theme is Wild About Learning.  We will continue to dig deeper as a school community so that our teachers provide a high quality education for all scholars, taking into account their individual needs, while ensuring that every child is prepared for success in every classroom, every day.  Our students will take this journey with us, setting goals that they CAN achieve and exceed by taking risks and recognizing that every day is an opportunty to learn and grow.  We will monitor student progress towards their goals regularly, making the necessary adjustments to ensure their success.  Moreover I challenge you,parents/caregivers, to take a greater role by becoming more involved in our school functions and in your child’s academic journey.

Please plan to join us for our first ever virtual Student Orientation via Microsoft TEAMS on Friday, August 14, 2020 at noon. Hear details from me regarding our plan for a Safe Opening.  Join now at NVE Virtual Orientation TEAM so that you have access to all information.
