      Greetings MVR Parents and Students,

       

      Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  I am excited to welcome you back to what will be an epic year for our students, faculty, staff and administrators. Here at Mattie V. Rutherford Alternative Middle School, we are determined to work with you to ensure the success and well-being of all our students.

       

      Our motto is “Excellence is the Expectation", and our theme is “P.O.W.E.R." Our faculty and staff have high expectations for every student every day that attends Mattie V. Rutherford Alternative Middle School.  We pride ourselves on ensuring that students are safe, engaged and actively learning.  This year, as a parent, your participation in your student’s academic learning is extremely vital.  We look forward to partnering with you to ensure that your student will be successful and equipped with the necessary strategies to flourish.
