Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
Multidisciplinary Team meetings are usually held at Mt. Herman monthly and are conducted by the ESE Admissions Representative that is assigned to our school. Staffings are held for the following reasons:
To refer a student for an evaluation to determine eligibility for a program.
To complete a review. All students are required by law to be re-evaluated at least every 3 years. This is to determine if they continue to be eligible for the programs in which they are placed.
To place a student in an ESE program after the appropriate evaluations have been completed.
To dismiss a student from an ESE program after the appropriate evaluations have been completed.
To consider the appropriateness of a Special Placement, placement to or from a district center school.
