Mission Statement
It is the mission of Duval County School Counselors to deliver a multi-layered, comprehensive, and accountable school counseling program in which equity, access, and academic success for ALL students is the focus.

Counseling Program
- Is consistent with the expected developmental stages of learning
- Is based on school data, in that, it is evaluated through the lens of school counselors’ stated goals and is related to student competencies
- Is managed and delivered by highly qualified professional school counselors
- Is developed in consideration of the special needs and the diverse ethnic, cultural, and racial differences of all students
- Utilizes the many combined resources within the community

School Counselors
- Are advocates for each student and for the school counseling program
- Consider all students’ special needs and diverse ethnic, cultural, and racial differences when planning and implementing the school counseling program
- Manage and evaluate their programs on a regular basis
- Abide by the American School Counselor Association Ethical Standards for School Counselors
