Duval County Public Schools offers engaging Early Learning Programs that prepare children for successful entry into kindergarten. Parents may enroll their age three (3) or age four (4) child in a standards-based, developmentally appropriate school year program or the Summer Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program for children entering kindergarten in the fall.
UPDATE: DCPS VPK Fall Registration (age 4)
Your child must be 4 on or before September 1, 2020, to enroll in the Fall VPK program. Currently, there is no virtual school option for students enrolling in VPK. UPDATE: DCPS VPK Summer Registration (ages 4 & 5)
Summer VPK will be held at Spring Park Elementary School on June 22nd-July 27th from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Children can participate in the Summer VPK Program as long as they did not utilize their Certificate of Eligibility during the school year. Additionally, participating children must be 4 years of age on or before September 1st and entering kindergarten in the fall. Parents must apply for a Certificate of Eligibility from the Early Learning Coalition. To apply, visit www.elcduval.org and click on the tile that says "Enroll my Child in VPK". Once received, please contact Mrs. Walker at Spring Park Elementary to schedule an appointment to complete the registration process. The number to Spring Park is 904-346-5640.
DCPS Head Start Program (ages 3 & 4)
