    PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19)

    FOR DISTRICT OFFICES

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that school districts implement mitigating strategies to prevent or reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Effective immediately the following guidelines below are in effect for all District Offices until further notice.

    Visitors who have recently traveled out of the continental United States, have traveled on a cruise ship with in the last 14 days, or have a fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, should NOT enter any DCPS building.

    District and School-Based Staff are practicing Social Distancing as Recommended by the CDC

    The ON TIME application window for Magnet and Special Transfer applications is now closed.  Late Applications will be available online April 15, 2020.

    Douglas Anderson SoTA, Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School and Pine Forest Elementary School of the Arts Become Nationally Certified Magnet Schools

    As 2019 Nationally Certified Magnet Schools, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School and Pine Forest Elementary School of the Arts have met the Magnet School Standards of Excellence and upheld the five founding pillars of magnet schools: diversity; innovative curriculum and professional development; academic excellence; high quality instructional systems; and family and community partnerships.
