Most Florida colleges and universities require a minimum of two years of the same foreign language but preference is often given to those students who have studied three years or more of a language.

A:
Students may take ASL to fulfill the Duval County high school graduation requirement. However, some out-of-state colleges and universities may not accept ASL courses for foreign language credit.
Q:

A:
Yes. Currently Duval Virtual School and Florida Virtual School School offer on-line world language instruction. Students may earn one credit and satisfy their virtual course requirement if they successfully complete two semesters of the same language.
