District Resources

  • DCPS Office of Equity and Inclusion: The department is charged with the responsibility of monitoring, coordinating, and recommending action aimed toward the District's policy of equal opportunity in education and employment.  The department also assures the district's compliance with Federal, State, and District regulations pertaining to equal opportunity and equal access.  Student Discipline and Support Services. District specialists offer professional learning opportunities on the topic of bullying. This includes bullying, cyber-bullying, harassment and teen dating violence as defined by section 1006.147, Florida Statutes. Training topics include prevention, notification, jurisdiction, instruction, and counseling referrals.     This department fosters a comprehensive health education and physical education program. The HEPE team works to enhance students' ability to maintain and enhance personal health and fitness, create safe environments, and manage personal and community resources. In addition to standards-based instructional support, the HEPE team also works to coordinate the implementation of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) and magane teen health centers throughout the district.   Duval County Public Schools teen Health Centers.     The trevor project in a non-profit agency providing 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ Youth. Their number is 1866-488-7386.   • Equality Florida Statewide agency dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) residents.   • The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida or ACLU Investigates and/or litigates civil liberties matters concerning individual freedom and constitutional rights. Division devoted specifically to LGBTQ+ issues.     The Gay Straight Alliance Network is A youth leadership organization linking GSAs to one another and community resources through peer support, leadership development, and training.
