  •         Mr. Florilis Davis Jr. 

    Mr. Davis

    Mr. Florilis (Flo) Davis, Jr. started his professional education career as a member of Hands on Atlanta-Americorps as a student service coordinator at College Park Elementary School in College Park, Georgia. After transitioning to Jacksonville, he has served DCPS as a Social Studies instructor,  Department Chair, Athletic Coach, and curently Dean of Discipline. In additon to his service to Duval County students, he also works as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

    Mr. Davis was a varsity letterman, honor roll scholarship, athlete at Morehouse College, where he earned a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Political Science. He served as the initial Office of Community Service Student Mentoring Coordinator for the mentoring program. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Incorporated. As a Yale National Fellow in 2006, he published curriculum for the Yale National Initiative. In 2014, he served as a Fellow for the Justice Teaching Institute from the Supreme Court of the State of Florida. Dean Davis also earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, from the University of North Florida.

     

    Dean Williams

    Cherrelle Williams is a University of Florida graduate majoring in Sociology and Pre-Med. Dean Williams has taught in Duval County for 6 years enlightening the way for stellar readers, as a Reading teacher on the secondary level. As a Duval County employee, Williams has presided over several school related activities such as Generation WOW conference for young ladies, Youth Leadership of Jacksonville, and Financial Literacy partnership with Prudential etc. We are proud to have Ms. Williams for continued service of excellence at Westside High School as our Dean of Girls.
