Mr. Florilis Davis Jr.
Mr. Florilis (Flo) Davis, Jr. started his professional education career as a member of Hands on Atlanta-Americorps as a student service coordinator at College Park Elementary School in College Park, Georgia. He then moved to Jacksonville, Florida to teach as a Social Studies instructor, Social Studies Department Chair, Basketball, Tennis, Track Coach, Adjunct Professor at Florida State College of Jacksonville and as Dean of Students.
Mr. Davis was a varsity letterman honor roll scholarship athlete at Morehouse College. He served as the initial Office of Community Service Student Mentoring Coordinator for the mentoring program. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Incorporated. As a Yale National Fellow in 2006, he published curriculum for the Yale National Initiative. In 2014, he served as a Fellow for the Justice Teaching Institute from the Supreme Court of the State of Florida.
Mr. Davis is married to Jeannette Davis and they have a daughter (Bailey).
Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Morehouse College in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida.
