         I would like to welcome you to Ruth N. Upson Elementary School! I am genuinely excited to join Ruth N. Upson Elementary School and the Murray Hill community! It is an honor to be a part of such an impressive school where teachers, parents and community members are working together to ensure the success of all students. I look forward to collaborating with each of you as we strategically focus on engaging, empowering, and educating our students to achieve their maximum academic potential in school as well as in the global community.

     

         Our faculty and staff members will establish high expectations and work as a team to meet the needs of our students. To accomplish this, we will plan strategically, establish a positive, safe, and productive school culture, and ensure that each student receives rigorous instruction that caters to their individual needs.

     

         To enhance opportunities for student learning, it is extremely important for your child/children to arrive at school on time each day. Please be sure to check your child’s book-bag daily for items such as our parent newsletter, homework, student agenda, calendar of events and valuable information on the “policies and expectations” for our school and district.

     

         Your support is essential to the overall success of Ruth N. Upson Elementary School. I encourage you to take advantage of opportunities such as joining the PTA and SAC or becoming a volunteer and attending extracurricular activities as well as Parent Nights. Together, we can make this our most productive year ever.
