• Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our Greenfield Dolphins back to Greenfield Elementary School.  We are very proud of our designation as a Duval County Public Schools S.T.E.M. Magnet School.  Greenfield is a “B” school, and we will work very hard this school year to become an “A” school.  For all of our new students, welcome to Greenfield.  We are proud to serve the children and families of this community.

Our school’s theme this year is: Setting the Stage for Learning Success!  You’ll see this theme throughout the school's decor and within the learning activities this school year.  Duval County Public Schools’ Curriculum is based on the Florida State Standards.  Parents will continue to have access to students' grades in the FOCUS Portal via the following link: https://dcps.duvalschools.org/Page/15745. We also ask that you set up an account through DCPS One View, which is the school's district's communication portal.  You can find all of this information on the DCPS website, if you should need assistance.  We will contact you this school year via the School Messenger system by phone call, email or text message.  Please make sure we have current information in our school’s files.

We will ask you again this school year to help us maintain our academic focus by scheduling appointments before and after school only.  In addition, early pick-ups from the office are discouraged, as we have tasked our teachers with using every moment of the day for bell-to-bell instruction with students.  Thanking you for your cooperation in advance.

School hours are 8:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. for all students.  Students are not allowed to be here before 8:00, unless they are registered in Extended Day.   Parents in need of extended day care before or after school can speak with Ms. Kogge or Ms. Mays.  Ms. Mays will be signing students up for Extended Day July 26th from 2:00 – 6:00 and August 7th from 3:30 – 6:00.  She will not be enrolling extended day students during the first week of school, so it’s very important that you register your child during one of those scheduled times.

Please consider joining your Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  This $5.00 membership will serve the children of Greenfield in a variety of ways. Each year, our PTA sponsors many day and evening activities at the school.  These events are well-attended, fun, family experiences for all.

If we may assist you in any way this school year, please let us know.  Office Hours are 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.  Please feel free to visit the school and volunteer!

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Simpson, Principal
