Paula Smith has been the proud Principal of San Jose Elementary since July 2014. She has 13 years in administration and 10 years teaching at 8 different elementary and middle schools. A graduate of Stanton College Preparatory and the University of North Florida for both graduate and undergrad degrees, Paula Smith is dedicated to inspiring the children of Jacksonville to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens. With 23 years’ experience as an educator in Duval County Public Schools, Mrs. Smith has enjoyed cultivating the Panda Pride in the most diverse elementary school in the district. San Jose Elementary has 845 students enrolled with 406 that are ESOL learners. There are 31 different native languages from our diverse population and 86 faculty and staff members that help empower our students to develop into learners and thinkers.
