The Duval County School Board selected Dr. Christopher Bernier as the next Team Duval superintendent on May 23 and approved a contract on June 12. Dr. Bernier's official start date is Monday, July 1, 2024. 

On Tuesday, May 7, the Duval County School Board selected Dr. Christopher Bernier and Dr. Daniel Smith as the finalists for the Superintendent position.
