Recyclers

The Recyclers are a 5th grade group who wish to enhance their knowledge of recycling and encourage the rest of the student body and staff to participate in the recycling effort.  In addition, they work in providing help to maintain the school's green footprint. Students come together every Thursday after school and collect the contents of classroom and staff recycling bins. The sponsors provide guidance on daily outdoor activities: including watering from rain barrels, planting, weeding, composting, grounds clean up, and other projects. They participate in fundraisers; one of the most important being the melting of used crayons to sell as Crazy Crayons. This provides for an end of the year trip and other purchases that benefit the school.
