We offer the following School Based Student Programs:
Safety Patrols - The School Safety Patrol membership is a position of honor that has continued since 1920. There are 562,000 students in 30,000 schools nationwide who are members of the AAA Safety Patrol organization. The selected few students assist with maintaining safety on campus. In order to be eligible for this prestigious leadership opportunity, each student must have an “A” grade in conduct and exhibit excellent citizenship. All Safety Patrols are required to set positive examples for other students while keeping their classmates safe.
LOTS (Leaders of Tomorrow) are students who assist teachers on a daily basis and learn valuable clerical and organizational skills. Also, students organize and host several fundraising activities such as the Spring Dance.
Student Council - A student council takes the responsibility of representing the whole student body. The student council voices the needs, wants and concerns of the student body to the administration (i.e. principal, assistant principal, and teachers).
Girls on the Run - Over a period of 10 weeks, girls in 3rd through 5th grades participate in an after-school program like no other. The program is designed to allow every girl to recognize her inner strength(s). The “Girls on the Run” curriculum inspires each girl to be self-motivated. Throughout the season, the girls make new friends, build confidence and celebrate uniqueness. The “Girls on the Run” lessons are designed to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, and physical development. Participants explore and discuss their own beliefs around experiences and challenges girls face at this age.
