Greetings Trojan Nation,
The dawn of another school year is upon us. It is my hope that you have enjoyed your summer and have had the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. The faculty and staff have worked diligently over the summer in preparation for your arrival and believe that this will be one of the best years ever at Jean Ribault Senior High School.
To the graduating Class of 2017, we extend well wishes and a challenge to Go Out and Be Great. It is now your turn Class of 2018. Three years ago you began this journey and it culminates on May 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the University of North Florida. I encourage you to make every moment count and create memories this year that will last for a lifetime. It would be remiss of me not to also welcome our newest Trojans, the Class of 2021. While that may seem so far away, it will be here before you know it. It is incumbent upon you to hit the ground running from Day 1.
As a community of learners, it is our mission to provide quality instruction to Every Student, in Every Class, Every Day. Teamwork is crucial to making this happen. We encourage you to stay in touch with your child’s teachers on a regular basis and access their progress via FOCUS. The theme for our school is 212º: The Extra Degree: One Extra Degree Makes All the Difference. There is no replacement for effort. Effort separates good from great, victory from defeat, and success from failure. Our challenge is for our students to commit to being great, victorious and, in the end, successful. Not only successful here; but in whatever they desire to do once they leave the walls of Trojan Land.
As always I thank you for your support of Jean Ribault Senior High School and your child’s education. Let’s make it a great year!
Christopher L. Jackson
