    Morning Arrival Procedures

    On mornings and before the first bell, there are 2 holding areas for students: the Cafeteria and the Auditorium. The first bell rings at 7:15 am and students are released to their first period classes. All students should be in classes by 7:25 am, after which they are considered late. Students that are tardy to school must proceed to A127 for passes before going to class.

    Afternoon Dismissal Procedures 

    Normal dismissal is at 2:10 pm daily and at 12:55 pm on Early Release Wednesdays. Only students that are participating in approved after-school activities should remain on campus. All other students should be off the campus no later than 2:30 pm daily. The car rider zone is at the Bell Tower (enter using the Main Gate on Winton Drive side). 

    Student Check out during the day 

    Students should not be checked out after 1:30 p.m daily, unless in an emergency. Check outs are done through the Main Office.

    Hours of Operation

    Office Hours - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

    Guidance Office Hours - 7:00 am - 7:30 pm

    Student day - 7:25 am - 2:10 pm, except on Early Release Days which are from 7:25 am - 12:55 pm

    IDs 

    All students are issued an ID at the beginning of the school year. IDs must be worn around the neck while on campus. Students will not be permitted to class without an ID and will be sent to the Media Center to purchase a replacement ID. Additional IDs can be purchased for $5 each.

    Backpacks 

    Only clear or mesh backpack are allowed on campus.

    Dress code 

    Please ensure your students are in compliance with DCPS General Code of Appearance.

    Outside Food on Campus during lunch

    Outside food is NOT permitted on campus during lunch unless parents are staying on campus to eat lunch with their student. Alternatively, parents can check students out for lunch. 

    Parent Conferences

    Please contact your student's teachers directly to set up parent/teacher conferences. Emailing teachers is quick and easy through FOCUS.

    Excused Absences and doctor’s notes

    Students should provide documentation for absences to Ms. Meadows-Brown in A127.
