Mary Flynn was born in Seattle, Washington and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where she attended Duval County Public Schools.  Furthering her education, she earned her BA from Edward Waters College in Business Administration and her MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Her work experience includes school settings that consist of urban, suburban, and alternative schools. These schools consist of middle and high schools in the capacity from teacher, reading coach, interventionist, assistant principal, to principal.

She has over 21 years of experience in the field of education with 11 of those years as an administrator. This is her third time being placed at A. Philip Randolph Career Academies. Her APR tenure consists of six years, which includes teacher to reading coach to assistant principal to principal. Ms. Flynn brings a wealth of information back to A. Philip Randolph Career Academies. She is excited to be back on the campus where Jaguar Pride is Supreme.

In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, movie time with the family, and taking care of her two dogs, Amp & Lex.

Ms. Flynn believes that being positive and seeing the good in people is something she strives for in her daily walk of life.
