• Extended Day Program

The purpose of the Extended Day Program is to provide a safe, pleasant, caring, and educationally enriching environment which serves to enhance the regular school program.

***Only currently enrolled students of the Extended Day program will be eligible to attend Extended Day on Early Dismissal Days.***

    1. HOURS OF OPERATION

Our program offers before and after school care only on days when school is in session. The morning session (7:00-8:00 a.m.) consists of informal group activities designed to ease the transition of the student into the regular school day. The afternoon session (3:00 – 6:00 p.m., 1:45 - 6:00 on Early Dismissal Days) provides a more formal, structured program of enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, computers, games, and physical activities. Please limit inquiries to extended day hours when a director is on duty.

    2. ELIGIBILITY

The Extended Day Program is specifically designed for children of working parents.

    3. TUITION

Fees are as follows (per 20-day cycle):

    A.M. Session (Grades K-5)

    $52.00

ALL FEES ARE PAYABLE BY THE MONTH ONLY. PLEASE REFER TO THE CURRENT FEE PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR DUE DATES.

    4. HEALTH AND ILLNESS

Children who are ill should not remain in school, for their benefit as well as the benefit of others. If a parent must go to work, provisions should be made for the comfort and welfare of the child away from the school. If a child becomes ill or is injured during extended day, as during the regular school day, parents will be notified to pick up the child as soon as possible.

    5. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Children are not to arrive before 7:00 a.m. All children are to be picked up no later than 6:00 p.m. A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged for students picked up late (after 6:00 p.m.). The late fee applies to each individual and is not based on a family rate. Please be considerate of our staff in following these times except in the case of extreme emergency. If a parent will be late, it is his / her responsibility to notify the office as soon as possible.

    6. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PROGRAM

A written notice, a minimum of one week in advance, is required if it becomes necessary to withdraw your child from the Extended Day Program. Withdrawal from school does not automatically withdraw a student from extended day. Re-enrollment after a child has been withdrawn will be based upon space available. If a child re-enrolls, the enrollment information must be updated. Refunds will be given only if the proper advance notice has been given in writing to the Extended Day supervisor. Additional prorated fees for the length of time enrolled may also be due upon withdrawal. Withdrawal from the program in no way eradicates responsibility for payment for services rendered.
