• The Duval County School Choice Program is one of the nation’s most successful programs, according to the U.S. Department of Education. A wide range of specialized educational programs are available throughout elementary, middle, and high schools.

    While receiving instruction in traditional subject areas, school choice students in magnet and special transfer option schools have an opportunity to explore and develop their unique interests and talents in such areas as math, science, the arts, language immersion, culinary arts, aviation, law/legal professions, technology, public service and many more.

    Parents/Guardians of a student currently enrolled in a Duval County Public School, in grades K through 11, will be able to apply online for the upcoming 2019-2020 magnet and special transfer option lottery by accessing the FOCUS portal after January 1, 2019. Please contact your current school if assistance is needed accessing FOCUS.
