Dear Trojan Parents,
The Science Department has developed a new direction for student science projects. Students interested in competing in a Science Fair will become active members of the JWJ Science Fair Club (see flyer below). Students not wishing to compete in a Science Fair will be involved in pre-structured classroom projects during the second semester. The Science Department will send home the specific expectations of these classroom projects when they begin.
The JWJ Science Department strongly feels that this adjustment will result in a more successful understanding of scientific process. Additionally, we hope that both parents and students will feel less stress. Feel free to contact your student’s Science teacher if you have additional questions.

Teachers will guide you through the Science Fair process and coach you to develop a competitive project that may advance to the regional and state levels.
Meetings will take place during lunch and after school.
We will have our first meeting on (Date TBA). You will need to arrange for a ride home. If you have any questions talk with your science teacher.
