Palm Avenue's Community-Based Vocational Education (CBVE) program offers vocational education and training to students in community work settings, guided by Job Coaches. This program focuses on non-paid vocational exploration and assessment, aiming to assist students in identifying their career interests, evaluating their employability skills, and cultivating the necessary skills and attitudes for securing paid employment.
Palm Avenue has established partnerships with several local businesses, including Goodwill stores on Blanding and Dunn Avenue, Publix on Roosevelt, Zaxby’s on Roosevelt, and Rose’s Express on Normandy Boulevard. These collaborations provide our students with valuable opportunities for vocational education and training within these environments.
For further information regarding Palm Avenue’s CBVE program, please contact Ms. Donna Okeafor, Job Developer, via email at okeaford@duvalschools.org or by phone at (904) 693-7516.
