Welcome to Bayview Elementary Communication and Social Skills (CSS) department.
Parents, we are so excited to have the opportunity to partner with you this year in educating your child! The Communications and Social Skills Program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related disabilities is committed to recognizing the wide range of educational needs for students with ASD and related disabilities, in order to provide an individualized program. Educational services are based on the knowledge of current, relevant research and effective practices. At Bayview, we have a wonderful team of experienced and enthusiastic CSS educators. Our department consists of eight classrooms: Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Kindergarten-First, Second-Third, Fourth-Fifth. These classes are designed based on ability and functioning of current students.
We have a community partner that supports parents, students and educators – UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities- CARD http://card.ufl.edu/
