    Dear Parents,

On behalf of the our faculty and staff, welcome to Reynolds Lane Elementary School, Home of the Lion Pride!  Our goal is to have an exciting year of learn as we strive to go "Around the World in 180 Days."  We are looking forward to working closely with you and your child in an honest and open way that will lead to academic and personal growth.

The vision of Reynolds Lane Elementary School is that every student is inspired and prepared for success in college or a career as well as life.  This vision means that we want our students to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and emerging leaders in our local community.  We have three main goals at Reynolds Lane Elementary to reach this vision.  They are safety, reading achievement, and math achievement.  We need your parental involvement to meet these goals.  Therefore, we encourage you to be actively involved by doing the following activities:

    • Develop a working relationship with your child's teacher by meeting with them at least one this school year

    • Check your child's communication folder daily and contact the teacher if you do not see it

    • Make sure that your child completes assignments

    • Create a Focus parent account

    • Contact the teacher whenever your have questions or concerns

    • Keep track of your child's grades and attendance

    • Provide books for your child and listen to your child read at least once a week

    • Participate in our Title I events

    • Join our PTA

All parents want the best for their children, and studies show that students earn better grades and have better attitudes toward school when their parents stay involved. You can be involved simply by checking your children's schoolwork each evening, reading to them, or having them read to you.

We look forward to having your help to meet our goals.  Together we can meet the educational needs of your child which will lead to academic success.
