If you are a teacher, student or have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew or neighbor, etc. at DA then you should join today. Community members also welcome. Only $7.50 for individual memberships, these funds are vital for teacher back to school breakfast, teacher luncheons, AB honor roll students, senior breakfast, and many other things!

Take Stock In Children is now accepting applications!
Take Stock in Children was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving, low-income youth to escape the cycle of poverty through education. We offer underserved students one-on-one support through caring volunteer mentors, professional college success services, the opportunity to earn a college scholarship, and hope for success in college, career, and life.

Transportation Request Required for all DA students wishing to ride the bus in 2022-2023
If your child will be riding the bus for the 2022-2023 school year, you will need to register for a bus stop. Once you register, your child will be assigned to a bus stop based on your home address. Bus stop registration will be available in FOCUS beginning June 13.

DA Musicians Selected for Prestigious National Band/Orchestra Programs
Don Zentz, the Director of Jazz Studies and Ted Shistle, Band Director, at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, are proud to announce that their students have been selected for inclusion in three of the most distinctive high school honor jazz bands and orchestras in the nation: The National Youth Orchestra (TJ Shistle), National Youth Orchestra Jazz Band (Maurice Chakour) and Next Generation Jazz Orchestra (Giovanni Martinez and Beckett Miles).

COVID-19 Vaccine Available at Douglas Anderson

DA Offering Student Ambassadors Class
We are bringing back the DA Student Ambassador’s class and we are looking for interested candidates. Students in this class will take field trips to middle schools to help recruit students for DA. They will also create press releases for local publications and promote DA on social media. Students interested in joining the class should complete the survey in Microsoft Forms. They can also see Ms. Hammer or Ms. Cinotti for more information.
