FOCUS is the district's system for managing student information including grades, assignments, email with teachers, and many registration and enrollment processes.
You created your child's FOCUS account when you enrolled him or her in school. Now you need to do two things:
1) Create a parent account.
2) Link your account to each of your children's accounts.
Here's the catch: You can create your parent account now, but the ability to link your account to a new student's account will not be available until July 20.
So for brand new students, plan to "link" your accounts on July 20.
Once you link those accounts, you can then register for Duval HomeRoom if you want to make that choice for at-home learning for the upcoming school year.
If you are planning to choose the at-school enrollment option, and your child will ride the school bus, you will also be able to complete the bus stop registration process.
And now you can see why having a parent account is so important, not to mention you will use this account to see grades, assignments and so much more.
